Trendy Akuma is now a playable character in Street Fighter: Duel. A trailer for his appearance and his playstyle was uploaded on the game’s official Twitter (X) account.
The trailer is very short, at under thirty seconds. It starts with a silhouette of Akuma facing us before he turns around. Then, it shows a scene of him beating up his opponents and defeating them. The Tweet asks if we’re able to match his style in the arena, so his trendiness comes from his battle prowess rather than his actual fashion sense.
In the game proper, you can test him out in a new Fighter Trial Realm. Clearing this will also give you rewards. Street Fighter: Duel is a mobile RPG based on the Street Fighter series of fighting games. Crunchyroll Games and Capcom developed it in a joint effort. You’ll be able to pick between a variety of familiar fighters to create a dream team of three characters, which you can then use in the story mode to defeat Shadaloo. Trendy Akuma is a variation of Akuma, who was a major antagonist in the series.
