During the Square Enix Enix Presents TGS 2021 presentation, a new Triangle Strategy trailer showed off various characters and more gameplay. Not only did the main cast appear, but it offered a glimpse of the other allies that players will encounter along the way.

The Triangle Strategy characters shown during the trailer included House Wolffort Armsmaster Erador Ballentine, House Wolffort Spy Anna Pascal, Kingdom of Glenbrook Kingsguard Hughette Bucklar, and the Grand Duchy of Aesfrost Tutor Geela Breisse. Each ally wields unique abilities, which were briefly showcased alongside their introductions.

For instance, Erador launched a shield bash attack that pushed the enemy several tiles away and even knocked them off a platform. Anna has the ability to inflict a status ailment (poison was shown in the trailer) when she attacks. Hughette is able to attack from both a distance and at steep angles thanks to her bow and arrow. Finally, Geela is a healer who can heal multiple targets at once.

After the trailer’s debut, the livestream showed a limited edition version. It will include both a metal replica of the in-game scale seen when making important decisions and cards depicting the main cast. However, the English subtitles noted that this particular edition is a Japanese-only release.

Back in February 2021, a demo of the game debuted directly after the Nintendo Direct that revealed it. Following extensive feedback from players, several adjustments have been made to both gameplay and quality of life mechanics.

Triangle Strategy will release on March 4, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.
