Crimaria is the powerful Valkyria who appears as an enemy in Valkyria Chronicles 4. More details were recently given regarding what sort of attacks she will make use of in the game. More information was also offered on side Missions which focus on specific characters. (Thanks, 4Gamer!)
Crimaria fires ice-like explosive energy in an arc from her position. The energy is powerful enough to damage the Hafen by quite a lot, not to mention the Cactus, which has less armor than the Hafen.
When Crimaria focuses her energy into Voltz’ tank, the Vulcan, the tank becomes able of firing a giant energy beam that devastates the battlefield. It seems that this attack will involve Voltz using an Order of some sort.
The Vulcan
The Vulcan is Voltz’ personal tank and is part of the Ausbruch that he leads. It weighs 50 tons and is equipped with the latest Ragnite technology in order to improve its movement speed. Apart from the main cannon, it has a the rotating machinegun that provides the tank good on offensive and defensive capabilities.
Side Missions:
Side missions are stories that take place before the main story of Valkyria Chronicles 4 and focus on particular characters. For example, here are a few:
Squad E Begins:
The year is 1934. Raz and the others have just graduated from training and have been assigned to Squad E. The leader of Squad E turns out to be “Crybaby Claude”, a victim of Raz’s bullying in the past.
Of course, Raz isn’t going to accept Claude’s leadership without a fight. It’s up to Claude to prove his worth on the frontlines through his actions. Raz might just be surprised by Claude’s strength of will and determination.
Hardworking In Secret:
This side mission concerns the three Snipers: Leonhart, Aladine, and Neige. Neige feels that she isn’t as good as Leonhart and Aladine, so she decides to ask them the secret to their skills.
However, upon meeting them firsthand, she finds out that the two Snipers have very different opinions of themselves compared to people’s impressions of them.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 will release on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 21, 2018, and the Nintendo Switch version will get released in Summer 2018. The game will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in North America and Europe in 2018.
