Troll Hogwarts Legacy

Where to get Troll Bogeys in Hogwarts Legacy – best locations

A large part of Hogwarts Legacy involves gathering up items and ingredients such as Troll Bogeys. As juvenile and disgusting as it might seem to head out in search of snot, you will need to do it for certain crafting options in the game. In this guide, we will show you a couple of different ways to get your hands on this particular type of monster mucus. Players who wish to craft an invisibility potion will need this, and trolls are reasonably rare, so use the potions sparingly. You will also need them for an assignment from Professor Onai, so it you manage to grab one before then, that is even better.

Where to find Troll Bogeys in Hogwarts Legacy

Trolls might be rare, but the good news is that if you manage to slay one, then Troll Bogeys are a guaranteed drop from the creatures. To find a potential troll fight, make your way to a Troll Lair, marked on the map by small mountain icons. You can find some in the below locations:

  • Northern parts of Feldcroft
  • Eastern parts of Feldcroft
  • Eastern parts of Poidsear Castle

If you would rather avoid a fight to get your hands on the item you need then you can make your way to J. Pippin Potions in Hogsmeade. You can purchase Troll Bogeys in the store there for 100 Galleons, a not unreasonable price for such a rare item if we are honest. There is another shop in Cragcroft where you an get them, but most players are unlikely to explore that area until later in the game.

Remember, trolls are not the only dangerous creature you will face in Hogwarts Legacy, so make sure you give yourself the best chance in combat by doing the unthinkable and learning the Avada Kedavra spell.

Hogwarts Legacy is available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC via early access, and will be available to everyone on February 10, 2023.
