Yomawari 3 Demo Will Come With an Exclusive Storyline

A free demo version of Yomawari 3 will appear on game platforms in Japan one week ahead of its release in the country. Nippon Ichi Software will publish the demo on the Japanese PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop on April 14, 2022. The company noted on the official website that this demo will contain a tutorial for the new gameplay features and an exclusive storyline that will not appear in the full game.

The Yomawari 3 demo exclusive storyline will take place at the school—one of the areas that will appear in the full game. However, it will tell a different story. The protagonist will sneak into a school with two friends at midnight. They want to check rumors that have been circulating around the school. However, the protagonist will end up getting separated and thus must explore the building alone with just a small lantern.

On the same day, Nippon Ichi Software updated its public streaming guidelines for the entire Yomawari series. It now includes Yomawari 3 and its demo version. The company strictly prohibits players from making any profit from the games’ videos, including official monetization platforms. It also cautioned them against putting spoilers on video titles and thumbnails.

The full version of Yomawari 3 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on April 21, 2022. NIS America has yet to announce an English localization for this title.
