Snatcher coming to a handheld?

Snatcher coming to a handheld?Apparently Hideo Kojima hasn’t given up on the Snatcher series. He recently renewed the patent for Snatcher and Racketboy is speculating that it’s possible that the DS or PSP could be the platform for a revival. It may not be far from the truth since Myst is coming to the PSP and we have graphical adventures like Phoenix Wright on the DS. However, as of now this is just a rumor and a large one that Snatcher is even coming back. It’s equally likely that the patent was renewed just in case Konami wanted to work on Snatcher in the future, not because a game is in the works.

I emailed Konami several times in the past asking for a port of Snatcher to the DS, or maybe a sequel. Of course they never replied… :)
If indeed the original is getting re-released on a portable I sure hope it’s on the DS. As Phoenix Wright showed the system is perfect for this kind of games. Even though I already own the Mega CD edition I would gladly buy the game again on the DS…

Snatcher is probably going to launch on I-Revo (Konami and IIJ’s joint venture). Sorry. :(
