More Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy VII spinoffs in the works?

By Spencer . May 25, 2006 . 8:06am

At Square-Enix’s financial meeting they revealed that the Fabula Nova Crystallis project will encompass six different titles. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3) and Final Fantasy Agito XIII (mobile phones) have already been announced. That leaves three other elements in the project. Could Square-Enix be planning another movie or is this a hint of substance to the rumor that Final Fantasy XIII is coming to the Xbox 360. In either case Square-Enix plans to continue developing the universes of Final Fantasy VII and XIII for twenty years.

Six games in an untested “series” is sorta risky. If the story is great it will be amazing. I suppose if I had to put money on any company to create a story capable of holding together six games like that it’s SE. Either way I’m interested in seeing how it pans out.

SE’s MILK COW number one. They are crazy!! So many games to be published at once? I know that everybody loves final fantasy, but they will kill this title in a blink of an eye! I’m sure that they are also planning a remake of final fantasy 7!! i’m sure!!!

I hope they make that tech demo of FFVII into a full PS3 game, it would do far better than FFXII or XIII.
