Rumor Control: Final Fantasy VII remake seriously in the works?

I’d buy it if they fix the materia system. Don’t ask me if I want to suddenly switch my party around if I can’t easily remove everyone’s materia at that time (I had a bad experience with Cosmo Canyon, among other instances).

Yeah there were a few issues with removing the materia,but overall that best had the best summon & materia system,I friggin loved it.Bio 3 on my sword FTW!

Id buy it just to make fanboy love to it.

I can just picture SONY crawling on all four in front of Square, begging them to remake this in order to sale their overprice system.

honestly, this changes the whole “console war” hoopla for this winter around. it will sell millions of games and consoles on names alone. and if the graphics look like advent children but in real time, make it a few million. and if its GOOD? its over.

the only reason i bought a playstation was because of final fantasy vii. if they remade it for the ps3 they’ve pretty much guaranteed my purchase.

This is just a nosense. It’s the neverending rumor, and I would love it to be true just to stop hearing about it, really. I think classic games should remain as they are, and if Final Fantasy VII comes back, it will be a direct port for PSP or DS, maybe a bit improved.

What I want to hear from Square Enix are those supposed A-games for Xbox 360. Those can really have a great influence on the console war.

Honestly, I think this would be the best thing that could happen to PS3 and FF7 fans. FF11 was online and was $100 a year to play and FF12 sucks. I think they should remake it just the way it was, render it better, add more of the “Weapon” monsters, put more side stories on all characters in including Zack and LEAVE THE MATERIA SYSTEM ALONE!!!!!! I have never had any problems with that system and to date it is the greatest of any FF title.

Well I really dont know But I do hop they remake it for PS 3 so I can enjoy the game with improved grqfiqs and also music. But it just remains to see this year.

I truly hate to burst everyones bubble but about a month and a half ago one of the people from square (I forgot which) Said that they are NOT going to remake the game…..I don’t understand why they wont, seeing as how they did EVERYTHING but remake the game. But thats just the way it is. It would be super cool if they some how fooled everyone and are going to make the game, who knows.

I gotta say, I cant see the FF franchise lasting too much longer if they dont think up something good. I loved FF7, same with 4 and 6, and since we all know 4 and 6 wont ever be touched again, 7 is our best bet. Id deffinately fork out for a ps3 if it was released, im sure many would. So itd just be their loss if they didnt imho

I’d would buy it along with a PS3 cause thats the only reason i’d need to buy a PS3 so come on remake it. As you have seen that most FF series games have been/being remade so why not remake them up to FFVII? Its a great game and im sure every one wants to see more than just eyes on the character when they arent battleing hahahaha ya’ll know what im talking about ^_^ So yeah oncore!!!!!

Im not buying a ps3 unless they make remake ff7 for it. And im kinda pissed that they made adevent children and dirge of cerebrus to tease us.

When might it be out?

If they release a Final Fantasy VII Remake, I would get a PS 3 earlier than when Im getting it just to play it. I enjoyed the original game, and I would love to see how well it would do on the PS 3.
