Atelier Iris: Grand Phantasm coming to North America

NIS America announced that they are bringing over Iris no Atelier: Grand Phantasm as Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm. It’s developed by Gust and it has the anime sprite style like the other games in the Atelier series. In the game Edge Vanhite and his childhood friend, Iris Fortner, are part of the Raider’s Guild where they explore “Alterworlds”. While on their job they discover one of the eight pieces of the legendary Escalario treasure. If someone can find all pieces their wish will come true. With one piece in their possession Edge and Iris set out to find the other seven. There are some changes from Atelier Iris 2: The Azoth of Destiny’s set up. Enemy encounters are no longer random, instead players can confirm fights through the symbol encounter system. Battles have been tweaked to make the burst combo system and there is a new fishing mini game. Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm is coming out soon, NIS America has it scheduled for release at the end of May 2007 for the Playstation 2.
