NinjaBread Man and other budget PS2 games ported on the Wii

Metro 3D who is responsible for quality software like Barry Hatter Billy the Wizard is jumping on the Wii bandwagon they have 13 titles in “development”, but they aren’t being made from the ground up. Instead Metro 3D is tweaking and shoveling their crap on the Wii. This news can be taken one of three ways: the Wii is so popular that Metro 3D is smart enough to recognize an open market, development is so cheap that it is a no brainer to port games to the Wii or Action Girlz Racing is going to be a multiplatform title once steering wheel motion control is added in. It’s always good for a console to get more titles, but Metro 3D’s PS2 ports probably aren’t going to be the games you want to pick up. Here is what Metro 3D is bringing to the Wii in 2007:

01    Action Girlz Racing
02    Hamster Heroes
03    Monster Trucks
04    Anubis II
05    NinjaBread Man
06    Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland
07    Mini Desktop Racing
08    Billy the Wizard
09    London Taxi: Rushour
10    Myth Makers Orbs of Doom
11    Myth Makers Super Kart GP
12    Earache Extreme Metal Racing
13    Rock N Roll Adventures

Of all these, only London Taxi: Rushour seems worthy of being purchased, but at the same time, I could do the same with GTA3 and having the added rush of carjacking a cabbie.

I see what you’re doing Nintendo, but man, it’s painful starting out for us gamers, but we’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel soon enough. LoZ:TP will have to hold us for a while I guess.

At least in America we won’t have to worry about those titles taking up any space for any Wii games that may be on the shelves in the near future. :P

Manhunt 2 is really one of the few Wii-to-PS2 ports that really caught my interest, due in part that Rockstar went ahead and is having the game developed simultaneously (including the PSP release), with Rockstar Toronto having the honor of handling the Wii version.

Also, I pretty much agree with Andreas above comment, but from the looks of it, Sonic and the Secret Rings may be another Wii title that isn’t a complete multiplayer experience that’s worth looking into.

For the most part, the reviews have been positive and seems to be the best 3D Sonic since Sonic Adventure, in stark contrast to it’s 360/PS3 counterpart Sonic the Hedgehog. Definitely a step in the right direction for the series.

I guess it could go either way.

Lets just hope that the Wii doesn’t become the PS2′s dumping ground, now that PS2 development will be replaced with PS3 development.
