Screen Gallery: Eternal Sonata

The Tales series isn’t the only bunch of RPGs that Namco Bandai publishes. They also have Tri Crecendo’s Eternal Sonata (aka Trusty Bell: Chopin’s Dream in Japan) coming out later this year. These gorgeous English screenshots show that Namco Bandai is in the process of localizing it. The 360 is really becoming a haven for RPGs this year with Blue Dragon, Mass Effect Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata on the release calendar.

It's so pretty! And the people are so cute!

I almost want a 360 just for this and Blue Dragon...

I wonder if it's any good, though? We'll have to wait on that.

if this game doesn't sell the 360 in japan, I don't know what will. I wish they'd make more stylish games like this.

Wow, this looks like a dream literally, and saw the trailer before too, can't wait to get this along w/ Lost Odyssey. I got my 360 for Blue Dragon anyway, I would say that game itself justified my purchase of the system (it moved many bundles in Jpn) even though it was pricey, I just feel kind of bad now I heard the Jpn voice will be included in the US ver. so I can't see the Eng. localization. I imported it because I thought the Jpn track would not be in the US ver., like most other RPGs.

I don't know, there's something about taking a real, genius composer, and turning the end of his life into a goofy Final Fantasy-style RPG with characters named things like "Alegretto", "Beat" and "Polka" that rubs me the wrong way.

This game looks beautiful... but I dunno if it's beautiful enough to justify getting a 360...
  • if this game has the Japanese voices left in it I will HAVE to buy a 360... along with Blue dragon of course... but buying a system for 2 games isn't really worth it... hopefully more jRPGs will be announced for the 360 that will make all that money worth it. I just need one more jRPG and i'll be sold on the 360!
