Comments on: FFXIII exclusivity is under discussion

As much as i luv 360, which soon will be in my hands, i disagree of the fact FFXIII goes multi. Now as for a year after then it wouldn’t matter cuz i would beat it by then on the ps3. And it was mainly the reason for gettin one. but if it doesn’t stay an exclusive I would just get the ps3 and not buy the game. Cuz it wouldn’t be right when developers say that it’s better to go multi-platform because they want everyone to experience a game of theirs, and this is real talk, they say that comin from sony. Not once have you heard a 360 developer say that cuz they don’t have to. They know anything on the 360 will sale which main leaves every game on the ps3 multi and leave 360 with multi and exclusives. If you started off on a console and you feel that you’re headed up another direction let’em kno yet everybody just waits until it’s about that time for a console to shine and yea, we’re going multi at the last minute sorry to bring it to you like this, but no hard feeling, and no one believes sony shouldn’t get mad when they should. And square-enix would be really bogus to sit there and do that. Maybe I just went too far cuz in the end would still buy the game but i just wouldn’t want play it in guilt.

I believe right now that there is about a 60% chance that FFXIII will go multiplatform. Squeenix knows to go with the money. They first started when FFXII: Revenant Wings was announced for the DS and not the PSP. There is a reason behind it. The 360 also won’t get any spinoffs unless it gets the original. The only reason the DS got RW and PSP didn’t is because the DS is the single most popular console in history.ever.period. Much more accessable and it has a much larger marketshare than the psp. That being said, I believe that Squeenix will go multiplatform, combined the number of 360′s sold worldwide is much, much greater than the number of ps3′s sold worldwide. The only PSP ‘exclusive’ titles are remakes of FFI, FFII, FFT, and a FFVII spinoff. Also, Blue Dragon went multi-disk, there is no reason FFXIII won’t, and if that drives up costs, so be it, I’d rather pay $69.99 then $660 for FFXIII. Also, if it is released on both consoles, the 360 is the way to go- as it will have achievements.

Konami will probably port the expansion of MGS4 (you know its coming) to the 360 sometime after the game launches on the PS3, not too similar to what went down with Substance on Xbox.

That is, if it ever were to happen in the first place. I’d imagine a year after, possibly as a way to not steal thunder from the PS3. Just as long if they don’t screw it up.

I really, really hope this will turn out to be true. I am just now on the verge of buying a 360, but this would make it definite. Keep the rpgs coming.
