Namco arcade classics reborn with Wii control?

While stumbling on more listings for Beautiful Katamari I noticed that a couple other Namco Bandai games got added to the Gamefly database. You already know about Ace Combat 6 and Eternal Sonata, but Namco Museum Remix for the Nintendo Wii is new. Namco released Namco Museum compilations in the past where a handful of arcade classics like Pac Man and Dig Dug for every system under the sun so why is this interesting? It’s the “Remix” part in the title and the chance that the arcade games are going to get Wii remote controls. Maybe Pole Position will use the remote like a steering wheel or Dig Dug will add in motion control for the inflating pump.

I could imagine the motion controls using the Wiimote working out better in Pole Position compared to a run-n-gun like the Metal Slug series, so if Namco pulls it off perfectly this would be a nice twist on these old classics and one of the first instances in a long time I’d be interested in buying one of their collections.

I hope there’s support for the Classic Controller too, in order to get the best of both worlds.

Theres no point of a Namco Museum Wii, they could just release these classics on the VC.
