D3 Publisher’s detective sequel: The Kanshikikan 2

By Spencer . May 2, 2007 . 8:22am

While some people in Japan are busy playing Gyakuten Saiban 4, D3 Publisher has another detective game coming out this month. The Kanshikikan series made its first appearance on the PS2, but a year after its release it was ported to the Nintendo DS with added touch screen control. The Kanshikikan actually has a lot in common with the investigative phase in Gyakuten Saiban, where you search crime scenes for fingerprints and poke the touch screen when you spot other clues. This month D3 Publisher is releasing The Kanshikikan 2, an original DS sequel with a new storyline and similar gameplay. Given the success of adventure games on the Nintendo DS it seems like a localized version of The Kanshikikan games could sell. If D3 Publisher announced localizing this would you stop and check it out?

Since everyone else is being so quiet, I’d like to say that I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
I’m a absolute sucker for games like this.
