Sadness still in development, maybe becoming a movie images

Nibris has their fair share of controversy around them and plenty of it is around their Wii game, Sadness. The story of Sadness takes place before World War I and the game’s style is a tribute to pre World War I cinema. While the game’s fate is questionable since they lost Frontline Studios as their co-publisher Nibris announced that they were approached by a Hollywood studio for filming rights.

Concerning the rumours about the Hollywood film studio offering us a large sum of money for filming rights – the truth is that we were contacted but there have been no agreements. We cannot disclose the topic of our talks however. Still we can assure players that Sadness will not be filmed earlier than 2 years after it is introduced to the market (if it will be filmed).

Sadness is an ambitious project for a small developer and filming rights could give Nibris extra money to bring their project to retail… that is if it’s real.

Buying rights to make movies on games before the game even shows anything?

Hollywood seriously needs to remake itself and come up with something original
