The next Gamecube Wiimake, Harvest Moon

The next Gamecube Wiimake, Harvest MoonIt looks like the rumor about Harvest Moon: Magical Melody getting a remake for the Nintendo Wii is true. Rising Star games, the European arm of Marvelous Interactive, has an official page up for Harvest Moon: Magical Melody with Nintendo Wii box art. Harvest Moon fans might remember that we got this title in North America for the Gamecube last year, but it was never released in Europe. There is something unusual about Rising Star’s page. Take a look at the screenshots Rising Star put up past the break. Instead of showing motion control or Wii buttons, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody still sports the Gamecube control scheme. One possibility is Rising Star quickly posted up screenshots of the Gamecube game. The other less appealing possibility is the Gamecube game is being shoveled directly onto the Wii with new packaging and no enhancements.

Did I miss something, there was other GameCube remake on Wii?

RE4? Although, like this, it’s more of a port than a remake.

When I wrote this I considered Resident Evil 4 Wii edition a “Wiimake” since it introduced motion control and it came out for Gamecube. But I guess it could be a port too!

Too confusing. Let’s make some ground rules.

When the game looks exactly or almost the same (Sonic Advanture DX), it’s a port. When the game is drastically changed, it’s a remake (Super Mario All-Star).
