Although I imagine the 360 wouldn't be flying off the shelves like the Wii, as most people are buying the console for the Wii remote and Wii Sports. Personally, I think cutting the price would probably be most effective when Halo 3 ships on September 25. I think if Microsoft ever planned to cut prices this year, it should be closer to their big killer-app if they really want to move more consoles. I think the system will be much more reliable with the new chipsets this fall and the price drop is just icing on the cake for me. Hopefully I'll pick up a revised and cheaper Elite before Christmas.
