What is Sega’s Viking: Battle of Asgard?

vikingsega.jpgLots of blips from Sega have been popping up on Gamestop. Last week we saw Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. Then we spotted Shiren the Wanderer for the Nintendo DS.  Now there is Viking: Battle of Asgard for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. I can’t think of any Sega game that shares the same name, but I’m going to speculate about what this could be.

Sega has one other game that references Norse mythology in its name, Senjou no Valkyria. The game was unveiled during Sony’s Playstation Premiere event for the PS3, but no corresponding Xbox 360 version was announced. Hmm… maybe that means this isn’t Senjou no Valkyria and Viking: Battle of Asgards is a brand new game. Or maybe this is just a mistake. You decide!
