Is Toyota to bringing advergaming to the 360?

yaris.jpgI remember rumors about a Toyota Yaris Xbox Live Arcade game a long time ago. The only concrete evidence that such a title was in development came from an article in OMMA (Online Media Marketing & Advertising), but the news was from last year. But look what just rose out of the grave! The ESRB has a rating up from Yaris on the Xbox 360 with Backbone Emeryville as the developer. You might not recognize the name, but Backbone Emeryville is responsible for bringing Yie Ar Kung Fu and the Sega Vintage Collection games to Xbox Live Arcade.

It looks like the Toyota Yaris game is finally coming into fruition. Since the project’s roots are in marketing a car the game could be a freebie.
