Taito brings Exit to the DS too

exitds.jpgAfter a lukewarm reception on the PSP, Taito is taking Mr. Esc to the Nintendo DS. The DS version doesn’t look like it is deviating far from the formula. There are new levels where you help Mr. Esc rescue people in the same minimalist style the PSP game introduced, but Exit on the DS is like Exit on the PSP which is going to be like Exit on the Xbox 360. However, the DS has been a popular platform for puzzle games. Perhaps Taito will find a new audience for Mr. Esc when it comes to Japan in January 2008. As of now no North American release date has been announced.

I know I’ll probably buy a copy. Exit was one of the few PSP games that seemed worth having (if I ever bought a PSP, that is).

Ha. They’re WAY better games than this - that are worth having on psp - that it’s not even funny. Example: Jeanne D’arc - which I’ll be picking up tommorow. :)

I disliked the first game - so this is something I shouldn’t be picking up…if it does make it overseas.

While randomly looking at an FAQ for this game, it appears as though Square-Enix is localizing the DS version. I’m not sure if another article here has covered that or not.
