Odin Sphere actually showed how aged the PS2 hardware really is, as though the engine used would be best suited for something a little stronger, like Wii.

Still think Odin Sphere should have been ported to Wii also.

I'm with SoulCaster, it's actually surprising Oboro Muramasa Youtouden isn't planned for the PS2 as well. I suppose Vanillaware could easily convert this to PS2 if they deem it necessary, after Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire I definitely think there's a market for 2D titles on the console now that Sony has exhausted its tight grip on what they will allow on the PS2. Only time tells if this will happen or not.

I have to applaud Vanaillaware for keeping the 2D genre alive with titles such as the aforementioned Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire, and naturally anticipate further developments along the line about this Wii title's future, including details about this game's characters, story, and battle system on Siliconera.

I think the RPG elements should stay to give them game some depth and I love the art style Vanillaware uses for this game and Odin Sphere. I am actually surprised that this game was not planned to be released for the PS2, Oh well, I am just really hoping that this gets a N.A. release date.

Vanillaware should just ditch the RPG lements.. and maybe it'll actually play like a 2d action game.

that artwork is amazing, though I wish it was less RPG and more all-out action, like the NES ninja gaiden series or the TG16 ninja spirit.
