Is Ryu ga Gotoku 3 in the pipeline?

By Spencer . September 6, 2007 . 5:55am

ryu3.jpgAfter dismal sales of Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku) in North America the sequel never got localized. However, Sega may not be closing the doors on the series. Out of nowhere a countdown clock appeared on Sega’s official Ryu ga Gotoku site. Eight days are left until we find out.

Sega also has two “coming soon” titles listed in their Tokyo Game Show exhibitor list, which leaves room for a new Ryu ga Gotoku game.

I really liked the first Ryu ga Gotoku. It wasn’t perfect, specially considering it was dubbed (Yakuzas speaking english? Yeah, right), but it had a fairly good story.

Well. I’ll have to import the second and third installment.
