It might sound strange to report a rumor from a glorified soft drink, but here we are! Ryu Kazama imported one of the fancy 10th Anniversary potions and sent in a picture from the back of the book. Notice how it says “we hope to meet Final Fantasy VII again?” That’s on the same page with a bunch of screen captures from the remade Final Fantasy VII intro movie. It’s almost as if Square-Enix is teasing the most die hard fans with the promise of a FF7 remake!
In my little world, I believe a Final Fantasy VII remake is inevitable. Considering how many other Final Fantasy games have been remade Square-Enix is not going to drop the ball with Final Fantasy VII. What do you think?
The full sized picture that Ryu kindly sent in is past the break. Thanks for getting this to us!
Question remains, which system is going to get it? PS2 is out of the question, but it could easily be PSP, DS or PS3. Hell it could even be Wii or 360.
“We hope to meet Final Fantasy VII AGAIN!”
….
It sounds like Engrish to me. I wouldn’t assume anything from this.
Well they have remade FF I, II, III, and now IV. I’m sure FF V, VI, VII, and possibly IX are going to be remade. Sorry I know I skipped VIII, but that game was not my cup of teal…but then again neither was II.
Of course a FF VII remake is inevitable. Square-Enix likes money and an FF VII remake will be their license to print money.
“Square-Enix likes money and an FF VII remake will be their license to print money.”
Exactly.
Neverminding another one of these strange supposed hints, I believe it’s inevitable that every pre-FF 10 game is going to be remade.
My guess is it is would be a ps3 exclusive title, or maybe a psp title.
What I really want is them to announce a FF7 sequel, that’s an rpg game.
@Ryu
Does the drink taste good?
Alexander: I haven’t tried it just yet. I’m waiting until I get my second one (one to use, one to keep….) before I try it. I should get it by Saturday, I hope. I just hope it tastes better than the awful FFXII Potions (BLAH!!).
‘Imaizumi closed off by confirming once again that there are currently no plans for a FFVII remake. However, he noted that this could change rather quick, alluding to Kitase’s comment about how the decision to make Crisis Core took only two days.’
Engrish to be sure. I wish it was true, though! FFVII was the best videogame ever made for anything by anyone. EVER. That includes pong and pac-man and super mario bros and asteroids and centipede and donkey kong and space invaders. If there’s something than which you’re wondering whether FFVII is better, ask yourself these questions: is the the thing in question a thing? Does it exist? Does it not exist? If the answer to any of these qustions is anything, then yes, FFVII is better than it. FFVII is the best thing in the history of things!!!

God I hope so… That would be the best thing to ever happen to anything. Ever.
*SPOILERS* (For Crisis Core)
I havent played Crisis Core yet, but I read up on the secret ending. Its like a really short clip of Cloud doing the same thing Zack did at the beginning of CC, but then when he jumps off it says ‘To be Continued In Final Fantasy VII’.
I also believe that is another hint Square is giving us.
