Watch – The Last Remnant TGS trailer

I’m guessing this has been floating around for awhile, but in case you missed it Square-Enix threw up a larger version of the Last Remnant trailer on the Japanese page. When I saw this about a month ago I wasn’t sure what to think. I still don’t know what to think besides imagining a Dynasty Warriors meets Final Fantasy hybrid.

Square-Enix’s strategy for the Last Remnant is what keeps me interested in the project. It will be their first simultaneous dual system release (Playstation 3 / Xbox 360) and their first simultaneous multi region release (Japan / North America). If the Last Remnant is a hit more projects will probably go this direction, but if it bombs… well… I’m all for simultaneous releases across different countries so I hope that doesn’t happen.

I hope there's an option for Japanese voices, both the evil and good main characters voices are generic and crap as usual. The British VA in this trailer, much like the ones in FF12 (eg Basch) sounded quite good tho. I just can't stand the whining of the VA of the good main character (like Tidus and Vaan before him).

Other than that this game looks pretty damn good- I have to say I'm stoked :-)

I must say the gameplay footage looks very interesting, at least it's very dynamic w/ the frantic camera panning, w/o being a all-out strategy like Bladestorm.

As for dual language option, I think at least the Xbox version would have that since it can usually be done by switch the language in the system setup.

root and kaikara you both don't now what you talking about the voice acting in ff xii rocks what the main dude voice actor i heard him before but i can't r ember because i am sure i heard him before some where

now there two games i got to get final fantasy XII raven t wings and last raiment damint now i need ps3 now lol well i am going to get one fore sure now! i will have both last raiment and final fantasy XIII! lol
