Did you think the >1GB file on the Xbox Live Marketplace was a late Lost Odyssey demo? Nah. The large file is a 30 minute video from the Orchestral Pieces concert at Bunkamura last month where Sakaguchi-san introduces the game. In the middle of the video there is a tiny bit of gameplay footage, but it’s live (umm… recorded-live) gameplay. It’s interesting to see combat from this perspective. Battles in Lost Odyssey feel more interactive, something like the opening fight of Final Fantasy X where Tidus runs through the sinspawn. A new winter trailer is online too, which is conviently posted past the below.
Oh, it’s this trailer, saw this before… I don’t think I can focus on the story if Kaim doesn’t ditch those pink glasses :).. and the ballet is kinda cheesy..
@Aoshi00 - Oh you’re getting this! Awesome man. Yeah the lip movement is out of place since the characters originally speak English. Strange how things work out huh?
Yeah, the game just shipped today, can’t wait. The premiere video w/ Sakaguchi and all the guests is very cool, funny he commented about the bashing on the net after he lost in the demo last time
I heard the bosses can get pretty tough.
It’s unfortunate the lip movement was made for English only, considering the actors did quite a fine job. Yansen seems like a fun guy and Kaim pain-ridden. I enjoyed Blue Dragon and ASH tremendously despite them not being perfect, I think Lost Odyssey would quench my RPG thirst, as I didn’t like the last two FFs (online & pseudo online). Also its seems Uematsu’s score is pretty exciting too.

I can’t wait to get home to d/l this tonight, also my copy is on its way! Since I like FFX, chances are I would dig this too, well, other than the out of lip-synch.. now the wait.
As for the music, Sakimoto Hitoshi has been more consistent for your epic RPG scores, I wasn’t too impressed by Uematsu’s Blue Dragon.. I hope the man would deliver this time.
