Silent Hill Origins scares up sales on the PlayStation 2 too?

sho.jpgWe’re sort of late with this rumor since Kotaku mentioned the possibility of a PS2 port last week, but now a second source suggests a PlayStation 2 version of Silent Hill Origins exists. Gamefly updated their database with the PlayStation 2 game tentatively scheduled to come out on March 31, 2008.

Considering how many PSP games get ported to the PlayStation 2 this rumor is not unforeseen. In the future I bet updated PSP games will start appearing as PlayStation 3 titles on the PlayStation Store too. Oh wait, that already happened with Gripshift! I hope Konami adds something new in the PS2 version beyond cleaning up the graphics. A playable peek at the old version of Silent Hill Origins with the barricade system would sell the game for me.
