Lost Odyssey downloadable content arrives in January

By Spencer . December 21, 2007 . 5:36am

lodv.jpgA month after Lost Odyssey’s debut Microsoft is releasing the first round of downloadable content. It contains a new dream sequence from the Thousand Year Dream and the Tatsujin no Hiden Sho which dons characters with the Weapon Guard II skill . On January 10, 2008 Xbox Live Gold members can download the pack for free. Silver members have to wait one week to get it. The slight delay for Xbox Live silver members is a nuisance, but at least the pack is gratis.

This content could be different from the North American pre-order bonus, which contains an “exclusive” weapon and an extra mission. Perhaps, this will appear as another freebie on the Xbox Live Marketplace in the future.

Woohoo, I just got my copy two days ago and am now 8 hrs into it, great game :) Feels like a combination of FF IX & X and Shadow Hearts (the ring timing thing), the bosses are tough and need strategy, music is humming-in-my-head good. The short dream sequences are a nice read too, like a novel w/ music and some sound effects.

The one week wait is a little annoying, thank god it’s free so it’s downloadable from the US.

This is my game for Christmas :)

BTW, Sakaguchi didn’t cut short the demo on stage on purpose, the first boss mopped the floor w/ me twice before I planned my attack more carefully, so the chk points before the boss fights are a great help.

Welcome to the 21st century of video gaming folks.

Instead of releasing entire games, we release parts of games, then charge you extra for the rest of them.

    My how far we’ve come!
