When I got back to the USA I vowed to catch up on a bunch of games that never appeared in Japan. The Simpsons game was high on my personal list. Not because it was a mind blowing gameplay experience, but because I’m a fan of Homer’s wacky antics. I love the humor and EA’s the Simpsons Game is like a video game themed lost episode.
My plan failed about ten minutes after playing the final version of the Simpsons Game. I realized I didn’t want to play a Simpsons skinner brawler, all I wanted to do was watch the fantastic cutscenes. I gave up on my quest, slightly disappointed that I wouldn’t see Will Wright’s cameo. But thanks to the magic of YouTube, the hard work of a video editor and a link from GameSetWatch I got my wish. The plot turned out better than I expected and it’s ripe with video game references. This is definitely worth a watch just to experience the humor.
I played the Lard Lad demo and thought it was not too bad, even though the btn mashing gets a little repetitve. Yeah, Youtube is kinda the easy out for people who don’t like to play the actual games (due to boring gameplay) but like the cutscenes. Somehow I don’t want to cop out and want to give this game a try down the road and watch the scenes as my “reward”.. The cutscenes are hilarious as ever just like a regular TV episode. Actually I think I would like the 2D platformer on the DS better, gameplay-wise.
Am I the only one who actually _doesn’t_ find these clip-scenes funny? Well, except for Metametacritic.
Awesome, I wanted to watch these but have no interest in the game. It slipped my mind to chase it up. Cheers Spencer.

Seriously eh, thanks. That game controls like crap.
