Natsume’s forecast, when the Harvest (Moon) arrives

By Spencer . January 29, 2008 . 5:15pm

hmooncute.jpgNintendo teased us with some Harvest Moon release dates in their massive beginning of year release schedule. However, not all the dates were accurate and it definitely didn’t include a date for Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon Special Edition since it’s a PlayStation 2 game. Natsume sent over their release list and this is what Harvest Moon fans can look forward to this year.

February 12th, 2008 - Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon Special Edition (PS2)

March 11th, 2008 – River King: Mystic Valley (NDS) < Note: this is called Harvest Fishing in Europe. >

March 25th, 2008 – Harvest Moon DS Cute (NDS)

June 2008 – Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness (NDS)

Q3 2008 – Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (Wii)

Previously, Nintendo’s release schedule had River King: Mystic Valley and Harvest Moon DS Cute pinned on March 8, which I found quite odd. I couldn’t imagine Natsume competing with itself by releasing two games Nintendo DS games on the same day. The other news not on Nintendo’s list is a release window for Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (tentatively called Harvest Moon Wii or Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace). North America gets it in the third quarter of 2008.

I am a big Harvest Moon fan who can’t wait to snatch up these games ^^; Don’t know what it is about the game that makes it so addicting to play, but it’s nice to have these to look forward to.

No Rune Factory 2? That’s a shame, as the first one is probably my favourite HM game for some time. I quite liked Innocent Life, though it was incredibly slow to get going. Be interesting to see what they’ve changed for the PS2 release.
