Only in Hong Kong, Mos Burger’s Lost Odyssey meal

Only in Hong Kong, Mos Burgers Lost Odyssey meal imagesLost Odyssey commercials began airing on US TV last week. Meanwhile an English version of the game is already out in Asia and Microsoft isn’t missing an opportunity to push it. Gamers in Hong Kong can pick up Lost Odyssey at Toys ‘R Us and show the receipt to a local Mos Burger to receive a gift. On top of that, the burger joint is teaming up with Microsoft to promote Lost Odyssey with Kaim concept art covered meals.

What makes this tie-in even more notable is the location of the alliance. See, Mos Burger is a Japanese fast food chain with delicious rice burgers. Mos Burger has a handful of stores in Hong Kong, but their base is still Japan. When Lost Odyssey launched in the home of Feel Plus and Mos Burger, Microsoft didn’t team up with the burger shop. The only store with a Lost Odyssey launch promotion in Japan was 7 Eleven, an American chain!

actually, 711 is more japanese than american these days. it was rescued from bankruptcy a while ago by the japanese company ito-yokado. that's why you see those 7 & I holdings signs or whatever they say. 711 is a subsidiary. i'm just surprised to see the home of the 1000 yen burger go the way of the happy meal.

toys r us, now that's american.
  • @thaKingRocka - Wow not that's even more interesting. I remember the signs said 7i Holdings, but I wasn't aware 711 was rescued. Thanks for the info. :)

I miss the days of having late night meals in Circle K and 7/11 long ago, but not familiar w/ Mos Burger (is the rice burger as tasty as it sounds?)

Very neat seeing Kaim's face on fries and drink, and Inoue is pretty much a household name in HK due to his Slam Dunk fame. And here we ony have Shrek kid's meals :(..
  • Lost Odyssey branded combo.

    That's an EPIC lunch!
