Bangai-O Spirits explodes into stores this March

More specifically, March 19 for Japan care of D3 Publisher. The alliance between Treasure, ESP and D3 Publisher has an added benefit, international localization. Nintendo’s retail list leaked the American branch of D3 Publisher plans to release Bangai-O Spirits in North America in the second quarter of 2008. A short wait compared to the time it took for Bangai-O to come out on the Dreamcast.

While Bangai-O was a solo affair, Bangai-O Spirits is not. The Nintendo DS shmup supports up to four players connected via local wireless play. Perhaps, Bangai-O Spirits can be called the first party shmup too. Buzz words like that might give Bangai-O Spirits the extra attention it deserves.
