Karakuri is in katakana, so it might be a proper name, but karakuri can also mean mechanism and device (just look at the gear or chainsaw looking sword on the Shiren 3 website). “The clockwork palace” is a perfectly fine localization for it. I think this means we might get it. :D

Okay, I got you, I just so hope it really does mean something. I hate how in this day and age game companies can’t say the MIGHT PORT a game or that it SHOULD BE RELEASED AROUND MONTH X. Unless they’ve cleared it with the legal department as done deals they can only talk about the game’s port status once it is ALREADY a done deal. So even if, I can dream dammit, Shiren 3 is a likely possibility Sega won’t say shit until it is already well into production with at least a rough release date projected.

@Lord Gek - I’m not saying get your hopes up, but you pointed out why the Shiren 3 subtitle could be significant while the Tecmo translation isn’t. Look how natural each of them sounds to say in English.

The Shiren 3 subtitle feels “localized” by someone. That someone might be an employee at Nintendo who translated this or Sega. We don’t know, but the subtitle is also different from the literal Japanese translation. If the person translating the list used rough translations why wouldn’t they call it Shiren the Wanderer 3: The Sleeping Princess in Karakuri Mansion?

Anyways, it’s just something interesting to note… and look out for.

I want so hard to believe this means something significant regarding Shiren 3, but, by this logic, we also should expect to see Tecmo’s “Misa Yamamura Suspense: Three Flowers Whirling Around the Old Capital - Kyoto Murder Case Files”, right? This is clearly a completely English version of a title (although, sure, it is far beyond awkwardly retarded sounding) but I’m assuming that is just because this is the English version of that report and IF they could whip out a rough English translation of a title in this report they did so.
