Rising Star creates dungeons, localizes Dungeon Maker DS?

Global A Entertainment, who developed the underappreciated Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground, gave their dungeon creator/crawler series another go on the Nintendo DS last year with Dungeon Maker: Mahou no Shovel to Chiisa na Yuushya. The title is something like Dungeon Maker: The Shovel of Magic and the Tiny Hero and as the title explains players use a magical shovel (it’s gold in color) to create dungeons. Europe never got the PSP game that XSeed released in the USA, but it looks like they are getting DS variation since the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (German ESRB equivalent) has a rating for Dungeon Maker DS with Rising Star as the publisher.

 

While this release is only confirmed for Europe, it’s highly likely that some US publisher is cognizant of this information. Someone should be publishing Dungeon Maker DS in North America. Maybe XSeed? The worse case scenario is avid dungeon creators can import the presumably English friendly European version.
