King of the Monsters smashing on to the Virtual Console?

The OFLC thinks so and it’s probably going to be the Neo Geo version. I can’t imagine SNK releasing the Super Nintendo / Genesis port done by Takara. On top of monster wrestling, city smashing fun Ninja Commandos may also be coming to the Virtual Console.

If you haven’t heard of the game before you might be imagining a 2D platformer, something like Ninja Gaiden. Nope! Ninja Commandos is a shoot ‘em up with ninjas. This isn’t the only time we’ve seen ninjas with guns, but it’s still a stark contrast from the stereotypical ninja image. Take a look.

Wow. Ninja Commandos looks kind of fun. I'm surprised that I've never played it.

I use to rent KoM2 on SNES back in the day. It was a fun game for its time, but it was a bit too difficult for me. Pressing left & right on the control pad rapidly can hurt your hands after a while.
