All those Petz games might not be making big bucks for Ubisoft, but the company clearly isn’t giving up on the casual audience. They continue to develop their line up of “Imagine” series games, which are targeted at the female tween demographic. In the future this might expand into a series of Ubisoft branded webcam games.
The European publisher went on a trademark spree registering “Play CamCam” for games software, computer game instruction manuals, entertainment services for providing an on-line computer game and toy model hobby craft kits. The rights to the name are divided into four separate trademarks. Ubisoft appears adamant on doing something with Play CamCam. We just don’t know what it is yet.
