Rock out with Detroit Metal City and D3 Publisher

Rock out with Detroit Metal City and D3 PublisherIn another unusual license D3 Publisher picked up the rights to Detroit Metal City, a Japanese manga about Negishi Souichi who becomes a death metal singer. The game is coming out sometime in August and the first screenshots make it look something like an Ouendan clone. One of the mini-game screenshots shows a moving ball on the touch screen, which looks incredibly similar to what Inis made.

However, Detroit Metal City has an RPG-like quest mode where players take on rival bands. This might make Detroit Metal City DS Death Shout less import friendly than Ouendan, but DS owners looking for a niche beat tapping game might want to keep an eye on this when D3 Publisher reveals more information about the gameplay.

Bit of old news, but still AWESOME! The game is going to be release coincide the animu and live-action movie I think. Can’t wait to be able to rock out as Krauser.

Now if only someone would get on making a Dethklok game…
