It's been such a really, really long time that Mega Man 9 is kinda announced. I'm hoping that it'll be developed by Capcom of Japan in-house, not by the outsider (whom is happening to be the XBL publisher for Capcom). I want to see it in 3D, but not in 2.5D! Many of the big-name franchises had gone 3D before with some innovations, like Mario, Zelda, Sonic, etc., and this time Mega Man will gonna be the next! It'll be unlike MMX7, which has 3D parts, but even better with lots of innovations!

I heard that Inafune-san is gonna have Mega Man on the Wii because of its bigger installed base. So I think it's gonna be in there. Maybe Capcom will release it in the other console besides the Wii is PS2?

I think that Mega Man & Bass is supposedly the mid-quel between MM8 and the future MM9. So I think this is good idea for the whole Mega Man canon.

I wish I wanna see the FMV cut-scenes in MM9! Also, I wanna see Roll playing her secondary role as a navigator, like Alia in the X series. She is used to be a housekeeper for Dr. Light, but sooner or later she'll be the navigation for Mega Man in his action! And I wanna see the new character which is a girl who's programmed to hunt down Mega Man and terminate him! I wish that she'll encounter him in the beginning stage, the middle stage (after the player defeats the 4 Robot Masters), and one of parts of the Dr. Wily stage. I hoping that the E-Tanks and W-Tanks will eventually making a return, too. I wanna see the Dr. Light's crew and Bass making a return! Plus, I wanna see the all eight completely new robot masters, but by Dr. Wily's hand on them! I wish I wanna see a completely new story which takes place after MM8 and Mega Man & Bass too!

I wish I wanna see it disc-based, not in the whole downloadable form in PSN/XBL/WiiWare. I'm hopefully this will definitely be the next true original Mega Man game in over 10 years!

I think once you beat the first robot master, a new level should open up and you have to fight Sequel Man who has the exact same power as the last boss but is just a palette swap. And then you could fight Spinoff Man: Star Force X Battle Network Pumped Advent Hunter Man.

I just had a random thought, being a fanboy and all. What if Capcom uses this to finally bridge the events of the original MM series to the MMX series?

It'd be long overdue (fans have been wondering the connection for how many years now?) but I think it'd be freaking awesome to see the events that set the MMX series into motion through in-game play / cinematics and whatnot. Creation of X and Zero anyone?

I'll just hope that this is indeed the case with MM9. (Oh, and I for one would like to see it on PSP (If nothing else, PSP has more raw power. I think it'd end up looking better than on DS), but I'd also love to see it on PS2 or another console that's not handheld)

I liked the Megaman and X remakes, but I don't wish Megaman 9 to be on PSP. I think the system is a little too flimsy (especially the Slim) for a prolonged period of precise button pressing, my battery cover is a little loose, not sure if it's just me.

Well, I kind of want it to be on the most powerful system, definitely not Wiiware. We have Megaman 1-6 on the NES, 7 on SNES, and 8 on the PSX, now I want the biggest jump and to be impressed again graphics wise. I like the Wii, but I'm not sure how comfortable it is to play Megaman by holding the remote sideways.

Really ? Could it be true ? A new original Mega Man would automatically become one of my most anticipated games...

I´m crossing my fingers for a 2D game, with high-resolution sprites, art style similar to Mega Man 7/Mega Man and Bass, preferably on Wii (retail, not WiiWare) and with anime cut scenes... but it probably won´t be like this, at least not completely. Still, I would be ok with it being for DS or WiiWare, with PS3 being the most acceptable alternative for me of the rest.

Anyway...my guess is that it´s either for DS or Wii (again retail, not WiiWare), sprite-based if it´s on DS or 2.5D if it´s on Wii (maybe cel-shading, maybe not, but 2.5D because Capcom seems to prefer it nowadays).

I don´t see it being on PSP after the low sales of both remakes, and according to some comments that I saw from Inafune, he seems to think that Mega Man is more suited to appear on Nintendo consoles because of their audience. And between these 2 platforms, I think Wii is more likely, due to DS already having several Mega Man games available and this game being more "relevant" in terms of expectations (therefore, making it a retail game for a home console). It would also confirm the old rumors about a Mega Man game for Wii...

Well, I´m done with the "specularium"...let´s see what happens...

I see it coming on DS, as a lot of old franchises are pitching tru follow-up titles on it now, such as Contra 4.

I had always thought Megaman & Bass (for Super Famicom and GBA) WAS MegaMan 9. That said, I think this would be a pleasant surprise. =)

I guess Spacecat tells no lies.

As an avid Mega Man fan who has never learned any better, I'd prefer Mega Man Legends 3, but this definitely beats another damn Starforce game.

I read that Keiji Inafune is working on a project for the Wii, so who knows?

As for Mega Man Legends 3, Keiji Inafune sated on the 1up interview back in May 07 that he and the original team members want to make that happen, but there seems to be a lot to consider at the moment. It's possible, but nothing is promised right now.
