Yes, Bonnie Pink is singing both versions of “Ring A Bell”, one in japanese and one in english.

I guess it´s still better than what they have made with other Tales before, which is using instrumental music instead of the original themes… Like you already mentioned, Symphonia had a J-Pop song for its intro in Japan (one for PS2 and a different one for GC), while we got an orchestra arrangement. Megaman X3 for PSX also had a theme song that was removed in the X Collection, and also X5 (don´t know about X7 or X8).

I´m guessing that the new Symphonia for Wii will probably get an instrumental theme as well…

Wait, is there a Jpn version to this theme song, the music video we heard from Bonnie Pink earlier was entirely in English. I would like to hear the Jpn ver too if there is one. For Tales of Symphonia, the Jpn ver has a totally different pop song for the intro (like Megamna X4 on the PSX). The Jpn cover is same as the special edition above, I also slightly prefer the regular US version cover, nice and clean, and very cool.

By the way, the excuse of not getting japanese voices because they don´t fit inside the disc is becoming obsolete to me. If they really cared, they could either release the game on a dual layer DVD (provided that the game is not already in one) or release two versions, one with japanese voices and other with english ones. Nowadays, they can even release the japanese voices as downloadable content.

I don´t think that either of those alternatives are too expensive to do, except for those cases were the japanese voices are too expensive for a niche game (which I don´t think it´s the case here, or in most cases).

And why does the game has to change the song intro to an english one, if it´s the same artist ? Is it because people in the west are somehow not able to hear music in japanese ? They should already know by now that a big part of the gamers that buy JRPGs are already familiar with anime and japanese music.
