RIZ-ZOAWD or that Wizard of the Oz RPG in Japan

Dorothy doesn’t casually stroll on the yellow brick road. Monsters like giant mushrooms attack her. It looks like there is a Dragon Quest style combat system where you choose characters and attacks with the touch screen. The top screen shows the monsters and minimal battle animations. Outside of combat RIZ-ZOAWD has vibrant graphics. The 3D world has a storybook feel and lush environments. But what’s up with the faux trackball control. You need to rotate a green orb on the touch screen to make Dorothy walk and spin it by to make Dorothy run. It seems unnecessary since we’ve seen other games implement 3D movement like Super Mario 64 without repetitive screen scratching.
