Pre-order Trusty Bell: Chopin’s Dream Reprise to get a Navigation disc

Namco Bandai is pushing the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata with a sweet promotion for fans of the game. If you reserve the game in Japan you get the Trusty Bell: Chopin’s Dream Navigation disc, a bonus disc with content similar to DVD extras. You can watch an interview with Aya Hirano (she voices Polka), check out concept art in a gallery, listen to audio commentary, and view a photos treasured and taken by Beat. Here's a WMV format video with a preview of some of the stuff on it.

So far this bonus is only for Japan which means if you want to get this you’re going to have to import Trusty Bell: Chopin’s Dream Reprise before it comes out on September 18. Be warned that it may require a region free DVD or Blu-Ray player to get any use out of it. Namco Bandai hasn’t said what kind of media the Navigation Disc is on.

I so want the special navigation disc, interviews and commentaries are much more important to me than a soundtrack. I hope the US release would give us the same thing as a pre-order bonus, since I can’t get the Jpn version again owning the 360 ver alrdy.

Hirano Aya’s new do still looks funky to me :)

@Aoshi00 – Watch Namco-Bandai pack it in with a “Eternal Sonata Collector’s Edition” and charge $10 extra for it.

  • She also voices Haruhi which I could not forget for one second while playing this game.

I’m the other way around, I’ve listened to many of her other roles (the mature Mamori Nee-chan in Eyeshield 21, Mahiru in Busou Renkin, Misa in Death Note, Neon in Sigma Harmonics, etc) except Haruhi. She’s certainly a very versatile actress at such a young age, not to mention an exceptional singer, reminds me of Yokoyama Chisa, but better. Of course her portrayal of Polka added a lot to Eternal Sonata. Not many young seiyuu make such an impression these days. Hirano looks and acts pretty ditzy but is quite an eloquent speaker surprisingly.

Anybody find it funny that a game that fit on a DVD-9 is now on a blu-ray with 5X the space but yet this is separate? Just an observation. I know the reasoning, but it still makes me just wonder. You know a good chunk of that disc is probably blank.
