ESP’s Next Project Is Touch Screen Boxing

ESPs Next Project Is Touch Screen BoxingAfter Bangai-O Spirits we haven’t heard anything from ESP Software. What are they working on now? Another Hajime no Ippo (Victorious Boxers) game, but this one is for the Nintendo DS.

There aren’t many details about Hajime no Ippo The Fighting! DS on the teaser site. A few screenshots flash by showing the actual boxing takes place on the touch screen. From the look of this training screenshot it appears you tap targets to punch them. There is some kind of multiplayer mode too so you can see who jabs the screen the best. Japan is scheduled to get this on December 4 with D3 acting as the publisher. D3 and ESP seem to be quite friendly nowadays.

  • Bandersnatch

Woohoo, Hajime no Ippo is one of the best manga and anime around, really enjoyed Victorious Boxers 1 and 2 on PS2. I can’t wait to do Dempsey Rolls by drawing infinity symbols on the screen or something.
