Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra Launches In January, Might Come Out In North America Later

ketsui Ketsui: Death Label was an appetizer. Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Taichi Extra is the real thing and it’s coming out about a month after Dodonpachi Daioujou Black Label Extra on January 29. That’s for Japan only right now. I know that sounds disappointing, but Game Star’s retail listing suggests we’re going to see Ketsui published overseas. According to Game Star’s description of Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Taichi Extra has worldwide rankings. 5pb wouldn’t bother to put in worldwide ranking unless they were thinking about publishing it in other regions. Interestingly, Dodonpachi Daioujou Black Label Extra also has worldwide leaderboards. Otomedius G doesn’t. This seems like a sign that 5pb’s Cave games are going international so if you might not have to buy a Japanese Xbox 360 Arcade bundle just to play these games after all.

2009 will be a great year for me to finally cave in and buy a 360!

And for an appetizer, Ketsui DS has got me FULL!!!! burp.

  • If it weren’t for the unreliable hardware, I would have bought a Japanese Xbox 360 already. Damn RROD, these games had better get released in North America.

@CRIMExTHINK – That’s the reason why I’m kind of shaky on buying a Japanese X360 too. The Arcade dropped in price so much it’s really tempting since I can just hot swap hard drives (I think?), but if I got a red ring of death I wouldn’t be able to redeem my warranty :(. I think signs look good for both of 5bp’s games to come out somewhere else, but it might be Europe! So…
