A Peaceful Konami Trademark Sneaks Out

The USPTO dropped a hint of something else Konami is working on, but I can’t figure out what it’s related to. Last week the publisher registered Peace Walker for use with video games and more notable online video games too. Most of Konami’s other video game trademarks like the one we discovered for Suikoden Tierkreis are just filed for use with video games and computer software.

Judging by the name Peace Walker sounds like it could be used as a subtitle for an existing franchise too. How about Gradius: Peace Walker? No, that doesn’t sound right. Dance Dance Revolution: Peace Walker? Uhh… no, not this either!

There is a famous book called Peace Maker about some evil ruler, Suikoden was based in a book so maybe this is realated to the book.

I googled Peace Walker and it came out a rather literal answer. My guess is you go around saving the world or something. Sounds like a RPG kind of concept.

I can be wrong of course.
