Atlus Teases Raidou In Persona 4 Media

When publishers send screenshots to writers usually get a few dozen to choose from. This sort of explains why reviews, no matter where they’re posted, end up with the same media. Atlus went ten steps further for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 and gave everyone over 100 images to choose from.

One picture buried in the lot sparked my curiosity. The image above is a picture of the main character’s personality traits. The protagonist in Persona 4, like most Shin Megami Tensei games, is nameless. However, instead of giving him a name like AtlusARAM or Jack Frost someone decided to call him Raidou Kuzunoha, and as most of you know Atlus has one more PS2 game in their pocket Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abbadon.

Not sure if Atlus meant to hint at anything, but it is an interesting coincidence.

I saw this earlier on another site and I definitely thought the same thing, but I figured it was just what someone had named the protagonist. Didn't know it was from Atlus themselves.

And? How I remember, Innocent Sin's presence was quite prominent in Persona 3.

Yet Aram made it quite clear there are no plans or bringing back Persona 2 IS, EP, Revelation, or anything else of the sort.

It's safe to say...we're GETTING Abaddon King. No reason for Atlus not to publish another game here from their flagship series.

However...I really would mark this as coincidence. Who knows...maybe someone in the office liked Soulless Army just as much as I did...or they're so psyched about Abaddon King they *had* to name them Raidou...

I think Atlus likes making inside jokes like this to further entice their devoted fan base.
