An Update On Mana Khemia 2 And A Witch’s Tale

By Spencer . May 7, 2009 . 8:28pm

Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy and A Witch’s Tale have been in the cards for awhile. When is NIS America releasing these? Mana Khemia 2 transmutes into stores first this August.

Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy takes place after the once famous Al-Revis Academy from Mana Khemia lost its luster. It has all of the elements you expect in a Gust game — sprites, crafting, and turn based combat. The story has two separate paths and the ending you earn is determined by how you play the game.

A Witch’s Tale has a vague fall 2009 release date. Given the Halloween theme I’m think it’s going to come out around October. In A Witch’s Tale players draw runes to cast spells and use touch screen commands during battle.

Not to mention the US RELEASE OF SAKURA TAISEN V.

I can not wait for it.

Hmmm, I’ve never played ST, I wish they ported the PSP version instead…but I will buy STV, just to support them in their risk!

So does the story ever have you leaving the campus and, y’know, “saving the world” or something?
That was really the only problem with the first game. Aside from graduating, you never really felt like there was any goal you were heading towards most of the game. Oh and the ending was crap.

    • I agree. While I loved the overall gameplay, the story was rather “just there” and seems like Gust just wanted character development.

  • Nippon Ichi seems to have a good lineup on thier hands. If they are picking up Trinity Universe and Rorona too.

I liked the first Mana Khemia so I’ll be sure to play this one. ^__^

  • Cool. I sort of figured IGN’s end-of-June date for Mana Khemia 2 was going to change. Thanks for the update!
