Personally I liked the old design for the girl from Crystal. I'm a little annoyed to hear Japan will get more unlockable stuff. sniff. I wish they would cut this BS about going to a specific locations and just give it to us in the game, Mystery Gift, or through DSiWare (charge 2-5 dollars for example) , I would be much more willing to buy the items/pokemon through DSiWare then drive to the US. >____>

Didn't see this or I would've replied to it sooner.

Truth is, this post has been in drafts for about a week now. We didn't post it earlier because there was a lot of conflicting information coming from other sites. Since we didn't have the actual magazine ourselves, we decided not to rely on second-hand information until we were positive it was all verified.

For instance:

- Kanto has NOT been confirmed like some sites are reporting.

- We know nothing about other, non-starter pokémon following you.

Not to sound like a press release but Siliconera prides itself on breaking news accurately, covering topics that other sites don't and giving everyone (devs, publishers...everyone) a fair shot. It would boggle your mind if you knew how many articles and posts we discard from our drafts, all in the name of fair, unbiased enthusiasm/reporting. ;)

I'm disappointed that they didn't just modernize the Crystal design for the girl (although I see hints of the design in her) and went for that design. Unlike most of the male/female matches since the original Crystal, those two seem radically different from each other enough that it really bugs me to no end for some reason.

The Slowpoke Well is in Azalea town, where they worship Slowpoke. Team Rocket kidnaps all the slowpoke in town and sells their disembodied tails to premium buyers as a delicacy. Of course, I only remember that because of my recent play through in crystal, so I don't blame you for forgetting. As for the remake, I think it has to be DSi enhanced or else half of Japan will feel ripped off, especially since DQIX will not have DSi features (but will be awesome nonetheless.)

The pikachu colored pichu is just a shiny pichu. Fans just started calling it “pikachu-colored” because its shiny color is similar to pikachus color.
