I still can't believe how utterly absorbed I was with this game when I first played it. The artistic style, the mindless blood and violence, the ability to display subtitles just to see the F-bomb plastered all over the screen. That game was straight forward and to the point - you were ranked, and to go up in rank, just kill off said person with higher rank.

Sorta like a messed-up "Shadow of the Colossus," if you will.

But I remember early news mentions of the game and its title, how the subtitle "Desperate Struggle" was interpreted by some to be a spelled out "DS" acronym, suggesting it was a portable game of sorts. Thankfully it's not.

Suda 51, I shall be giving my monies to you!
