Atlus Localizing Hospital As Trauma Team

That was quick. Just two days ago, Famitsu revealed Atlus’s new medical novel adventure, Hospital for Wii. We speculated that, sticking with their recent trend, Atlus USA might choose to rebrand it as a Trauma Center game, and we weren’t completely off the mark.

Hospital is coming to North America in Spring of 2010 under the name Trauma Team. You get to play as a general surgeon, diagnostician, E.M.T., orthopedic surgeon, endoscope technician, and medical examiner.

Atlus are keen to remind everyone that this is, indeed, the Trauma Center team’s new project. We’ll get to see a trailer for it at E3. Until then, enjoy some screenshots.

Spring 2010 eh? With Demon Souls looking like a late fall release, they still must gotz something to pop on us for the US holiday season. I'm still calling Persona PSP for that window, but theres gotz to be something console, too.

So fast! Thanks Atlus. And them calling it as a Trauma game was expected but is perfectly fine.

Well, in an interview with RPGamer.com, Atlus did say that there will some surprises from them at E3. I was honestly expecting Trauma Team to be one of the surprises, but that now is out and known.

I'm personally hoping for at least Super Robot Taisen Original Generations for the PS2 (Spencer… Spencer… Spencer) and Absolute Blazing Infinity for the Xbox 360.

Console side, I think Demon's Souls and Trauma Team might really be it. I mean, maybe we'll get lucky and see the long rumored Wii and/or HD SMT games, but those seem more likely for TGS reveals. Any E3 “surprises” would undoubtedly be handheld pickups (Ys PSP, Seventh Dragon, Summon Knight DS, etc). I really can't think of anything recent on consoles that Xseed, NISA or others won't probably have covered.

I still wish Atlus would make adeal with Cunsoft for Shiren 3 though…

Wow, that person's skull is totally f***ed up! How are they still alive?

    They probably aren't still alive.

*waves fist* where are my RPG's Atlus?

    *goes sob in a corner*

  • http://www.siliconera.com Spencer

That Spencer… thing was a funny comment. I wouldn't take it as a sign of Super Robot Taisen Original Generations, but as a sign of “Spencer, stop asking us these questions!”

this game looks awesome, I wonder if they'll still be “guilt” or whatever it was called?

  • Chow

The diagnostician better be that House-looking fellow in those face shots.

  • Lucky

Might be far fetched, but if they announce an SMT game (Persona 5 most likely?) for PS3 I will wet myself.

    :( High hopes.
