Especially since participating in the fashion contests and dojo training can unlock additional characters to use.

While it is very fan service-y, I could see a large audience enjoying it. I adore the dress-up parts of it. Now that I've started setting up characters with skills, I've been going with mix/match clothes to get the best stats. (The cupid downloadable costume from last week is absolutely adorable!)

I was surprised how well everything meshes together. The stats are all in English and its very easy to play. Recruiting extra characters is the only thing you may have a problem with.

Very true. :D

Unless the company that picks it up does something to freeze the glitches, I'm not sure it'd get picked up.

As long as you're familiar with SRPGs, you'd have no problem with Tactics Layer. Most glitches are game freezes caused by enemy attacks, but occasionally a map doesn't display properly at all too.

It is a funny game. I'm really enjoying it. Especially the weekly WiFi costumes that unlock in Gamerssu.

This is definitely different than Luminous Arc.

It's got quite a few glitches in it though, made worse by the fact that you don't get to save all that often. The only genre I actually like in there would be SRPG and maybe Visual Novel. But that wouldn't be why I'd get. I just want to experience the sum of the parts, in a "how the hell will all this work" kind of way.

This is why I love Siliconera, where else would this get coverage. Besides as a joke that is.

Unfortunately, I'll have to put the possibility of a localization in the "when hell freezes over" category.

At first I was like “I'll never touch this game” but the more I read, the more interested I became. Is it because I'm really weird? Or is it because these unique/risque mechanics intrigue me in an innocent way? Nobody will ever know except for me, because they can only take my word that I'm honestly just interested in something, anything, different from the norm.

Luminous Arc 2, for example, was a lot of fun, but geeeeeeeeez there was no originality in it at all. This is different. It's weird. So, I want it. o_O

Why do I want this game? Is it because I'm really weird?
