Have A Dose Of Freeware Fighting With Vanguard Princess

By Ishaan . July 5, 2009 . 9:00am

Vanguard Princess looks a little too good to be a freeware game, and yet, that’s exactly what it is. A fighting game designed by Sugeno Tomoaki who is credited on The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Vanguard Princess consists of ten different female fighters, each with their own unique moves. Oh, and plenty of pantyshots of course; this is a fighting game with nothing but women.

The game includes a local multiplayer mode that is unfortunately limited to local play; but hey, I’m not complaining. The animation is awesome and the characters look different enough from each other to justify playing through the game a few times. There are even assist characters in the form of lolis!

I’m downloading it right now myself. Here’s a list of helpful links in case you’re interested in checking it out:

  • Damn, that’s hard.

It doesn’t help that half the attack buttons seem to do nothing.

  • Nightmare Knight

After reading the article, I became extremely tempted to download the game. I’ve got it installed on my American Windows XP and whenever I click on the shortcut to run it, the window pops up, flashes, and disappears. Any help? I really want a fighting game to satisfy my urges till KoFXII and MvC2.

    • Go to the ‘get it working’ link and download follow the instructions listed there. It takes about five minutes and then it’ll work fine.

      • Nightmare Knight

Yeah, I did all of that but to no avail. I tried reinstalling it too. Guess I’ll just have to move on without it.

        • Rekki

Same thing hapened to me, just go to the ヴァンガードプリンセス file, clic on the game icon and it might work.

  • bonafide

I’m not sure if I’ll try it…but the game actually looks nice for something free. More to come hopefully?

  • Code

Any one else get several warnings from there antivirus about NTLEA_086_BETA download — upon extracting got warnings about something called “Molebox”.

    • I didn’t get any warnings. (I’m using the Avast! antivirus)

  • kenji

i tried to download it so many times but it doesnt work

  • Code

Excellent just got it working on Vista x64 — without NTLEA_086_BETA >w>!! All I had to do was rename the main .exe and .kgt files “Vanguard Princess” and go under control panel > regional and language options > administrative > then change system locale to Japanese and it runs beautifully! (That first renaming step might not be important looking back at it x_x)

Seriously what a great game, completely worth the effort making it work >w<! (I was the guest above named Code). Any ways, highly recommend this, it came at the perfect time too since my Blazblue LE reserve got nerfed because of Canada not receiving any Blazblue LE at all apparently T_T'

    • Haha, irony. I was going to put “…so this might be worth checking out for anyone that isn’t busy with BlazBlue this week” but then I took it out. :P

  • kenji

wow this game is better than i thought in all honesty im likn it better than blazblue i have it and its kinda boing
